The Awards committee ensures that the accomplishments of BYU PRSSA and the BYU public relations program as a whole receive the recognition they deserve. They are responsible to know the criteria for national and local awards, and then evaluate which of the school’s PR accomplishments, projects, or personnel have met the necessary criteria to win. These awards include, but are not limited to: Golden Spike Awards, Teahan Awards, PR Week awards, and individual PRSSA scholarships. The team also works closely with faculty members, to discuss ways to enhance BYU’s academic reputation and make sure the applications are up to standard.
